Description

The Kiwis regard it as their baptism of fire. It is April 25, and it marks the tragic invasion of the Gallipoli Peninsula during WWI. Testimonies from six participating New Zealanders portrayed through a simple yet hard-hitting animation style guides this harsh and touching retelling of the excruciating events that helped shape new national identities for both the surviving New Zealanders and their Turkish opponents.
